MGA (Multi Generation Architecture)
A special feature of Pegasoft is it's "Multi- Generational Architecture", that allows the engine to handle various versions of the same physical record at any time, so any transaction can have it's own version regardless of other concurrent transactions ("readers don't block writers and writers don't block readers"). This ensures OLTP as well as OLAP operation.This feature has vital value for such processes as OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online analytical processing).

It also has a function by means of which the processes and controls are facilitated and operations at the stage of storage can be followed and arranged. In addition, stored procedures can be used like a View or a Virtual Table both at the server side and the client side. Thus, this structure makes it easier and faster reporting tasks and to complete the long lasting and repeated processes.

Online Backup
There is no need to shut down a database to back it up. A backup process takes a snapshot of the state of the database at the moment it starts, so clients can continue working while a backup runs.
